I am 27 years old and have been diagosed with LGMD?will LGMD affect my arms and shoulders?

i am a s/w professional and want to whether i will be able to continue working? the symptoms of LGMD started around 24 yrs and i was diagnosed now..when i am 27 yrs..please if anyone can let me know if i will be bale to continue working i will be very helpful
