Is it illegal to spread bots on torrent sites>?

Being on a torrent can make it harder to find you, but everything is ultimately traceable. If you are spreading software against someones will, then yes, jail time is possible. Your internet service provider (ISP) has the rights to track just about anything they find suspicious going to your computer. Besides, why would you want to cause harm to innocent computers?
