Is it my appendix that's screwy?

I tried to the "push and release test", and it doesn't work. However, I am having pain in my lower right abdominal. Is it my gall bladder? Kidneys? I heard that if the push and release test doesn't work, you almost certainly don't have appendicitis. My mom refuses to take me to the doctor and insists it's a pulled muscle. ( She's not a doctor, by the way. )
