Questions 1, 4 and 5 are pretty similar and here's my answer for them: just because we don't know how the big bang 'came to be' doesn't mean it's not true. It's the same with God, you don't know where he came from but you still believe in him. If you decide to call him eternal, the same can be said with the existence of matter, that it has always existed in one way or another. For 3: The harm? Crusades for example? And for 2, I can't really understand what you mean.
